Supporters of Arsenal and Liverpool alike have taken to social media in their droves on Saturday, to reveal their frustrations with the voting for the latest round of individual Premier League season awards.

For those not aware, the winners of both the Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year in the English top-flight were unveiled earlier today.

And both prizes went to members of Pep Guardiola’s table-topping Manchester City squad.

First up came Kevin De Bruyne, who, for the 2nd time in the space of three years, was named as the Premier League’s standout performer:

Next came the unveiling of the Young Player of the Year.

And a familiar face was too crowned as the Premier League’s best U23 performer, as City’s Phil Foden walked away with the award for the 2nd successive campaign:

As alluded to above, however, evidently all were not in agreement with the validity of the eventual landing spots of the POTY and YPOTY accolades alike.

Particularly keen to make their frustrations known on the back of the news regarding De Bruyne and Foden being made official were those of a Liverpool and Arsenal persuasion.

This comes amid widespread claims that Mohamed Salah and Bukayo Saka would have been far more deserved recipients, with just some of the backlash from across social media showcased below:
