Arsecast Extra Episode 392 – 11.01.2021

Welcome to another Arsecast Extra, the Arsenal podcast, with myself and James from @gunnerblog.

In this episode we discuss the 2-0 win over Newcastle in the FA Cup. There’s focus on young players Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson who didn’t quite take the opportunity, as well as the impact of another youngster, Emile Smith Rowe, who really did. We talk about the game, Bernd Leno’s significant contribution, the positive VAR decision, Aubameyang getting on the scoresheet, Nicolas Pepe, and the positive aspects of a game which wasn’t especially memorable. We then have listener question as we explore the Willian situation and where it might end, a new deal for Rob Holding in the context of our current collection of centre-halves, who else we should be looking to tie down, the search for a goalkeeper in the January transfer window, who covers for Kieran Tierney and loads more.
