San Antonio police are looking for a man they say shot another man in the leg following an altercation at a West Side convenience store Sunday morning.

Officers were called to Baptist Emergency Hospital on Cupples Road about 2 a.m. where the victim was being treated for a gunshot wound to his leg.

The victim told police he and two other adults and one minor were in the parking lot of a Circle K on Commerce Street when an argument with a man who pulled up in a white vehicle occurred.

At some point during the altercation, the victim and his party returned to their vehicle to flee when they say the unidentified suspect followed them, pulled a gun and fired one shot through the driver’s side door striking the victim in the leg.

The gunman then fled, according to witnesses, who then drove the victim to the nearby hospital. The victim was treated at the emergency room clinic before being transferred to University Hospital in stable condition.

The gunman remains at large and police continue to investigate.
