Alamodome receives 9,000 more COVID-19 doses, here’s how to sign up

Update: All Friday slots for vaccination appointments are now filled.

San Antonians can register for COVID-19 vaccine appointments next week at the Alamodome, because the City just received more of the vaccine.

The San Antonio Metro Health District has received another 9,000-dose shipment of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines and will begin booking the new appointments Friday, according to a release from the city. This is in addition to the new doses WellMed has also received.

The Alamodome  appointments will be made on a rolling basis for 2,000 people a day. The registration system will continue to reopen as appointments become available due to cancellations.

People can register online on the City’s website. Residents without internet access can sign up by calling 311 and choosing option 8.

If the number is busy try again, because all operators are on the phone.

At this time, people who qualify in the 1A or 1B categories (healthcare workers, anyone age 65 and older, and adults 18 and older with a chronic condition) are eligible for COVID-19 vaccinations at these clinics.
