49ers met with Hawaii O-lineman Ilm Manning

According to Justin Melo of The Draft Network, the San Francisco 49ers are among the teams that have spoken with Hawaii offensive lineman Ilm Manning. Manning was not among the attendees at the NFL Scouting Combine, so the discussion took place over the phone, Melo tells 49ers Webzone.

Melo adds that he has spoken with scouts who believe Manning can be an NFL starter at center or guard. The offensive lineman had over 40 starts at tackle, signifying great versatility, a quality highly sought by the 49ers.

“I recently spoke with the San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Indianapolis Colts, and Green Bay Packers,” Manning told Melo during a recent interview.
