Why Jonathon Simmons will stay in San Antonio next season (and other Spurs off-season stuff)

In the first ever installment of Three Man Weave, Michael Erler, Jesus Gomez and J.R. Wilco discuss everything that the Spurs’ front office will need to address this summer.

Yesterday, I got together with Jesus Gomez and Michael Erler for a couple of hours and we had a wide-ranging conversation about what we expected from the San Antonio Spurs’ this offseason: what will happen with the point guard position, is Dejounte Murray ready to start, will Jonathon Simmons re-sign, what’s happening with Patty Mills, Dewayne Dedmon, Manu Ginobili, Pau Gasol and LaMarcus Aldridge?

(FYI: the discussion took place before Dedmon declined his player option, but since that was widely expected, it doesn’t really change anything we talked about.)

For anyone interested, ReplyAll is a fantastic and incredibly easy to use tool that enables conversations. Since I started doing the Fraternizing with the Enemy series of conversations back in 2010, it is the tool that changed the process from the clunky mess it was, to the breeze it is today. Instead of cobbling together mounds of text from a dozen emails and wrestling with formatting, I can focus on the conversation and let a single line of HTML do the rest. Anyone who can benefit from such a service should definitely check them out.
