The new Spurs is ready to take his game to another level.
Every summer, Spurs guard DeMar DeRozan returns to his alma mater Compton High School, located in its namesake city in California, for offseason training. Four years ago, he decided he specifically wanted to improve his handles, and that’s when he contacted specialist coach Johnny Stephene.
All that work also improved DeRozan’s shooting and shot-creating abilities as it opened up new opportunities on the court. He has been working especially hard this summer because he is ready to take his game to another level with the Spurs and Gregg Popovich. I don’t know about you, but this gets me super pumped up about the new season, and I was already excited before. At least the season opener is less than a month away now!
