Warriors to Play Nets In Closed Arena Thursday

On Wednesday, the city of San Francisco announced a two-week ban on all gatherings of 1,000 or more people. This includes games played at the Chase Center, home of the NBA’s Golden State Warriors.

The Golden State Warriors confirmed they will host the Brooklyn Nets in a games closed to fans on Thursday night:

The Warriors have not confirmed these plans, but have committed to following the direction of area leaders on precautions, including games.

The NBA has a call scheduled with owners/governors for Wednesday afternoon and a call with general managers scheduled for Thursday. At this point, the league isn’t ruling out playing games in empty arenas, moving games to other locations or even postponements and cancellations.
