Tiago Splitter has Gregg Popovich’s green light to work for the Spurs
Pop is open to Splitter returning to San Antonio.
Gregg Popovich has opened the door for Tiago Splitter to return to San Antonio in an off the court role if he decides to hang it up. Splitter has been killed by injuries, playing just 44 games over the past two seasons. In an interview with Hoop Hype, Splitter said that Pop told him he could “do whatever he wanted” around the organization if he wanted to.
Splitter has been around Spurs training camp recently and says he might take up Popovich on an offer off of the court if he cannot continue playing. It sure would be fun to see Splitter around the team again.
