Courtois committed to a six-year contract with the Spanish giants, but came under fire after taking the number one jersey from Keylor Navas.

Madrid finished their 2018-19 campaign without any silverware, and Courtois to blame for making several fatal errors which cost the team valuable points.

The Blancos considered cutting ties with the Belgium international last summer but persevered and are now reaping the rewards as he has rediscovered his best form.

While Hazard, who moved from Chelsea last summer, has also had a rocky start to his career at Madrid, having struggled with injuries and fitness during a poor first season at the Bernabeu.

It’s been a campaign to forget for Hazard, as has featured in just 15 games and only made it onto the score sheet once.

The Belgian will be hoping for a vast improvement in the remainder of his five-year-deal at the Bernabeu.
