Steele High School teacher accused of inappropriate contact with a student

A Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD teacher has been arrested and charged with indecency with a child sexual contact after surveillance footage caught him allegedly inappropriately touching a student, according to police.

Cibolo police arrested 63-year-old Alfred Villarreal, a teacher at Steele High School, after an anonymous complaint was given to the department. No other details were released about the incident.

“The safety of our community and especially that of our students is our priority,” Cibolo Police Department said in a statement. “The Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD is cooperating with the investigation and remains a vital partner in the safety of our students.”

The department also encouraged anyone who observes inappropriate behavior or is a victim to call CPD immediately.

Villarreal’s bail is $75,000.
