Spurs victorious in ugly win over the Denver Nuggets.

The San Antonio Spurs bounced backed after an overtime loss to the Los Angels Lakers to get a ugly win over the Denver Nuggets in a hard fought 99-91 victory. The key to the San Antonio Spurs win was their defense in the second quarter when they shutdown the Denver Nuggets and out scored them  25-12.  The Spurs held the Denver Nuggets to just 41% shooting from the field  and forced them to commit 21 turnovers for the game. The star of the night was Kawhi Leonard who had an incredible performance for the Spurs who finished with 18 points, 8 rebounds. 4 assists, 5 steals and 6 blocks. The Spurs improved their record to 17-7 and are now 9-5 on the road, the next game is against the Portland Trailblazers Monday at 9:00 P.M. on Fox Sports Southwest.
