The San Antonio Spurs were back home at the AT&T Center Saturday night as they faced the Charlotte Hornets. The Spurs got off to a slow start in the 1st half of the game and it was a tightly played contest as the Spurs closed out the half  with a 51-47 lead over the Hornets. The real story of the game was the huge third quarter by the second unit of the Spurs, With the second unit on the court in the third quarter, we saw the return of the beautiful game. In the third quarter the Spurs out scored the Hornets going on a 28-5 run and out scoring the Hornets 42-29 and shot 72.7% and were 6-8 from three. The game was won in the third quarter as the Hornets could never recover from that offensive onslaught delivered by the Spurs. The leading scorer for the Spurs was Kawhi Leoanrd who finished the night with 23 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists,and 2 steals on the night. The Spurs are now 4-2 as they face the Sacramento Kings this Monday November 9th at 9PM. The game can be seen on Fox Sports Southwest and heard on WOAI 1200 AM radio.
