Spurs head out on the 2018 Rodeo Road Trip

The Silver & Black have only six games on the annual voyage

Well, it’s that time again. The AT&T Center will pack away the hardwood and lay out the dirt as the Rodeo comes to town.

This year the Spurs have a lower count 6 games as part of their annual Rodeo Road Trip, but don’t let that fool you, the Spurs will travel 7627 miles (LaMarcus Aldridge will rack up 10,332 miles when you tally in the round trip to Los Angeles for All-Star Weekend).

The Road Trip will also pose a challenge to the Spurs as their competitors will be fierce. The Spurs have a slow start against the 18-36 Phoenix Suns before heading to Oakland where the top seeded Golden State Warriors are 19-6 at the Oracle Arena, followed by the Jazz who are currently on a five game winning streak against some of the top NBA teams.

After the Jazz, the Spurs play a SEGABABA in Denver where Sean Elliott never fails to mention that the altitude plays a factor. To add insult to injury (no pun intended), The Spurs head home fore the All-Star break only to head right back to Denver when seasonal play recommences.

The Spurs wrap up the Rodeo Road Trip with their only game against an Eastern Conference team by checking in for the final time this season with LeBron James and the Cavaliers in Cleveland.

Predictions? How will our good guys fare on the bumpy late winter highways?
