The San Antonio Spurs guard Corey Joseph has gotten off to his best start this year with the Spurs while playing backup point guard to Tony Parker in the absence of Patty Mills. Corey Joseph has averaged 8.0 points, 1.6 assists, and 1.9 rebounds and has an impressive 17.8 player efficiency rating through the first seven games this season. There is no question Corey Joseph has been one of the most solid performers for the Spurs early in the season, yet he finds himself in the middle of trade rumors coming out of the Spurs front office. It is no secret the Spurs did not pick up any superstar caliber players this summer in the off season which means the only way the Spurs can improve their roster is through trade or the NBA draft. The Spurs have the leverage right now with Corey Joseph as he is playing great and is in the last year of his contract. The rumors have been going around the NBA is that several teams are looking to make a trade with the Spurs if the right deal comes around. In short it would be a surprise if we see Corey Joseph in a San Antonio Spurs uniform after the All Star break.
