The short handed Spurs started the night without 4 of their best players as  Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Tiago Splitter all sat out the game against the Portland Trail Blazers. The San Antonio Spurs rookie Kyle (Slow Mo) Anderson had his the best game of season scoring 15 points on 6-7 shooting in just 15 minutes of play. Kawhi Leonard showed why he is a superstar and a force to be reckoned with as he contributed 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the night .  The San Antonio Spurs kept pace with the Portland Trail Blazers most of the game but were obviously a step slower and the Trail Blazers increased their lead every quarter, ultimately opening the game up in the 4th quarter beating the Spurs 108-95.
