SAPD: Police searching for suspect who shot man in the street on West Side

Police are searching for the person responsible for sending a young man to the hospital in critical condition after a shooting on the West Side.

Just before 1 a.m. Tuesday, San Antonio police were called to the 2200 block of El Paso Street for the incident. There, they found a man in his 20s suffering from a gunshot wound in the street.

Officials believe the victim knew his shooter.

The suspect fled from the scene in a white vehicle that was later found abandoned by police.
