Russell Westbrook To Miss Start Of Playoffs With Strained Right Quad

Russell Westbrook is expected to miss at least the first few games of the Houston Rockets’ first round series with a strained right quad.

Westbrook woke up sore on Wednesday and underwent an MRI.

Westbrook had not had any trouble with the injury during Tuesday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs or immediately after.

The MRI revealed a strain severe enough to rule him out for at least several days. Westbrook underwent offseason knee surgery in 2019.
