Report: LeBron James would entertain proposals from the Spurs and others

Let the Decision 3.0 rumors commence!

The Cleveland Cavaliers are in trouble and LeBron James has the option to become a free agent this summer, so naturally the rumor mill is starting to swirl when it comes to where The King might land next in his quest to become the Greatest of All Time.

According to Bleacher Report, Los Angeles radio host Jorge Sedano said James would listen to proposals from the San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors out of respect for their winning cultures. He is also rumored to have interest in the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Houston Rockets and Cavs (but not the Clippers).

One thing that was mentioned about the Warriors is he would listen to them if they could produce a max salary, which would require trading away players like Klay Thompson and Draymond Green for little in return while expecting Kevin Durant to take an even bigger discount. That’s a steep asking price.

So far the same has not been said about the Spurs, so it will be interesting to see if he has similar requirements for every team, or if he has enough respect for the Spurs organization that he would consider a discount. Only time will tell, but it’s something to keep an eye on come this summer.
