Ray Allen Considering A Return To The NBA At Age 41.
Chris Broussard of ESPN.com was the first to break the news about Ray Allen returning to the NBA. At the age of 41 the two-time NBA champion Ray Allen is not one hundred percent sure he wants to return. Representative’s of Ray Allen have reached out to both the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers.
Chris Haynes of Cleveland.com is reporting league sources have said that the Cavaliers and Allen have a mutual interest should he return to the NBA.
Chris Broussard reported Ray Allen is also considering the San Antonio Spurs and Los Angles Clippers should he decide to return.
The Golden State Warriors according to Chris Broussard are unsure they want to pursue the 41-year-old shooting guard. However Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders is reporting the Warriors have actively pursued Allen since 2014.
At this point it’s unclear of how certain Ray Allen is on making a comeback to the NBA. While Allen never officially retired he has been away from the game for the past two seasons. Which would make him a big gamble for any NBA team looking to take a chance on one of the great three-point shooters of years past.
