If the Heat can’t take . . . well, the heat, get outta the AT&T Center.

Tonight you can watch the 2014 NBA Finals, games 1 and 3.

Fox Sports Southwest ushers in the final chapter of the ongoing saga of the San Antonio Spurs with game 1 at 6:00 p.m. CST and game 3 following immediately at 8:00 p.m. Tim Duncan’s retirement ceremony follows at 10:00 p.m. CST if you are still feeling the excitement.

This season was to exact revenge on the previous season. It’s also the updated version of the tale of John Henry. Remember that Henry took on a manufactured machine rock drilling machine and won the contest after the machine failed. In 2014, the manufactured Heatles faded when the air condition went out at the AT&T Center. Manu Ginobili, who had grown up playing in non-air conditioned Argentinian courts, did not mind. Tim Duncan, who had been working out in an open air dojo to keep fit, also trudged on as if nothing was happening.

But LeBron James . . .

At the end of this series, the Spurs would quietly re-sign each player on their roster while LeBron made another highly publicized maneuver.

The Spurs dismantled a wannabe dynasty.

And reminded everybody that they were in fact not too old.

Let’s admit, that’s pretty awesome.

Enjoy!
