Open Thread: The Force was with the Spurs on Star Wars Night

And just like in the movies, the good guys come from behind and win it all

This was how it started.

And just like the movies, the ending was all that had been built up.

There will be plenty of game analysis, but what I was most impressed with was just being there. I went to support my team on a theme night that makes me happy. And although I was rooting for the Spurs, I was there no matter what the outcome of the game.

I don;t leave early to beat traffic. I don’t bail when the game is out of reach either way. I get there early to soak up the environment and I stay seated throughout the game. And this was one of those where every moment mattered.

The crowd was great and into it. And even though the Silver & Black started slow, once they were in it, the fans were in it too.

I missed that feeling. You don’t get that watching on television. You have to be in thick of it.
