Open Thread: Spurs Instagram Round-up

Dejounte praises his mentor, Lonnie’s new puppy, and another celebrity Spurs fan.

When you think of social media, Facebook and Twitter are what instantly come to mind, but not far behind those giants is Instagram. Several Spurs are on it (although I’m not), so let’s take a look about what has been going on in that corner of the internet lately.

Dejounte praises his mentor

Seattle native Jamal Crawford has made it his mission to help other inner-city kids from his hometown stay out of trouble and find their way through basketball. Spurs guard Dejounte Murray is one of his many success stories, and he often makes sure to give his mentor proper praise.

If It Wasn’t For This Dude Lord Knows Where I Would Be In Life, He Really Snatched Me Out The Streets And Said I Got A Chance And Look At Me Now. We Need More Successful People Using Their Voice To Guide The Youth Because That’s All I Needed!!

Lonnie’s new puppy

Looks like Lonnie Walker IV just got a new puppy named Zola! I don’t know about you, but as a dog lover myself, I’m overwhelmed by the cuteness. (It’s a slideshow, so be sure to check out each picture.)

Meet Zola newest family member thanks to @socalpresa for this amazing dog

Another celebrity Spurs fan

Based on the jersey in his workout room, it looks like Sylvester Stallone (a.k.a. Rocky Balboa) is a Spurs fan, or at least a David Robinson fan. (Although let’s be real: if you’re a David Robinson fan, you’re a Spurs fan because he is the embodiment of what this organization is all about.)

Got anymore Spurs/social media stuff to share? Feel free to discuss that or anything else in the comments below.

If anyone needs a tutorial on how to put Twitter or Instagram posts in the comments (Facebook is not possible, as far as I know), here it is. For Twitter, click the arrow in the top right corner of a Tweet, click “embed Tweet”, then copy the entire code and paste it the comments. Instagram is similar, except you click the three dots in the bottom right corner of the post, click “embed”, click “Coby Embed Code”, then paste it in the comments. Have fun!
