This donation reflects directly on the sport of basketball.

In a trio of press releases this week, the Silver & Black Give Back shared their continued support of local charities and non-profits through Operation Renovation. The Good Samaritan Community Services outdoor basketball courts will be supplied with a cooling system to address the Texas heat:

Good Samaritan Community Services was awarded $8,222 to purchase two evaporative cooling units for outdoor basketball courts. The grant will allow over 200 students, who use the court daily, to play in a cool area in times of extreme heat. Funds for this project will allow the agency to encourage active lifestyles in low-income youth residing in San Antonio’s West Side.

The court is a frequent drive by for me as it is between my school and our training offices. It sure will be nice to have the area at a temperature that will offer people a greater opportunity to enjoy the space.

Spurs Sports & Entertainment continue to shine on San Antonio and SBGB highlights the best in support and charity.
