Open Thread: Checking out what DeMar DeRozan and Giannis Antetokounmpo have in common

The NBA’s 2020 MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and San Antonio Spurs star DeMar DeRozan had one statistic in common this season

Both men were the only players to average 20 points per game, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists while shooting over 50% from the floor this season.

Giannis won back-to-back Most Valuable Player awards over the past two seasons which makes him a valuable commodity this summer autumn if he chooses to enter free agency. DeRozan also possesses a player option that could launch him into the offseason festivities.

Obviously, they both won’t garner the same attention. But one thing is certain, they would be the most courted players looking into next year.

So why are we so down on DeMar DeRozan, Spurs fans?
