The Hype Squad has been out in the community.

Hispanic Heritage Month takes place from September 15th through October 15th. Each year, the Spurs make their way into the community to celebrate a culture that permeates San Antonio.

This year, the San Antonio Spurs Hype Squad made a special appearance at the Boys and Girls Club of San Antonio.

After visiting the Boys and Girls Club, the Hype Squad took part in another Hispanic Heritage event. The Squad taught students how to play Spurs Loteria and read at the Whataburger “What’cha Reading” event, one of a series of events sponsored by the celebrated local food chain.

And although it falls outside of the recognized dates, the Spurs season opener will feature Sebastien De La Cruz signing the national anthem. The crooner has become a staple of the Spurs season and always brings joy to the crowd.
