Open Thread: Bri Bagwell plays Bud Light Courtyard tonight after Spurs/Grizzles

The second in a killer post-game concert series

Spurs Sports & Entertainment has created a great concert series in the Bud Light Courtyard after specific home games. Tonight, the Spurs take on the Memphis Grizzlies for the first time this season. And afterward, fans are invited to a post-game concert featuring Bri Bagwell.

Bri kicked her way into the national scene as part of CMT’s Next Superstar, a one-season country music competition in the fashion of American Idol.

In an era of country music that tends to skew toward rock, pop, and even (in some unfortunate cases) hip-hop, Bri Bagwell is a fresh reminder of pure, real country. Her down-home take on life takes country fans back to the reason they love the genre in the first place. Texans will be happy to have a true representative take to the stage this evening.

Bagwell’s strong vocals and lyrics demand to be respected. Bri Bagwell is bound and determined to be on the scene for some time. Her star is on the rise, so catch her in a more intimate setting before you have to pay an arm and a leg to see her rock the inside of the AT&T Center. The way things are going, that day is not too far in the distant future.
