Open Thread; Becky Hammon featured in Macy’s commercial
The ad highlights female successes in predominantly male-driven professions.
Spurs assistant coach Becky Hammon, along with Mishaal Ashemimry, Joann Falletta, Vanessa Beckman, Patricia Valoy, Tiffiny Blacknell, strut their style in the new Macy’s ad showcasing their positions in what would have once been considered a male-driven job market. The aerospace engineer, orchestra conductor, 4th grade teacher, civil engineer, and public defender join the retired WNBA star (and only female basketball player to currently have her jersey hanging in the rafters of the AT&T Center) in a tour de force of empowerment at the highest levels.
Hammon spoke about the experience at a local event:
