Open Thread: A theory on Jaron Blossomgame’s departure
Not quite sure the timing of his being waived didn’t directly coincide with two injuries at the guard position
It’s been a busy weekend Spurs fans. And when games are not televised, the information can be harder to parcel. Let’s recap:
- Friday night while hosting the Detroit Pistons, Lonnie Walker IV tore his meniscus. He will be out 6-8 weeks.
- Sunday afternoon against the Houston Rockets, Dejounte Murray tore his ACL. His timeline for recovery is indefinite and could be the entire season.
- Monday afternoon, the Spurs waive Jaron Blossomgame.
Is there any coincidence to Blossomgame’s departure? Are the Spurs considering signing another guard, even temporarily?
What are your thoughts on what has transpired over the last 72 hours? Has your feelings about the Spurs place in the Western Conference changed at all with the injuries to these young players?
