Open Thread: A change to the Spurs broadcast schedule puts them on national TV

Daniel Dunn-USA TODAY Sports

The Lakers/Spurs rivalry will get the national treatment once again.

As the Spurs head out for the Rodeo Road Trip, they will play back-to-back games at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

On Monday, the Spurs kick of the Rodeo Road Trip against the Clippers followed by Tuesday’s matchup on February 4th against the Los Angeles Lakers.

If you are like me and record each game, you may need to reset your DVR.

Per the Spurs Sports & Entertainment press release:

The San Antonio Spurs announced an additional change to the 2019-20 broadcast schedule. The Feb. 4 game against the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center has been moved to a nationally televised 9 p.m. CT tipoff on TNT and will no longer be shown on FOX Sports Southwest (FSSW). To view the full broadcast schedule, please visit Spurs.com or download the Official Spurs Mobile App.

So take note of the channel change, and prepare to lower your volume as Bill and Sean will not be calling the game for the local fans.

The revolution will be televised.
