NBA 2K20 Announces Official Player Ratings for the San Antonio Spurs

How did the Silver and Black fare in the newest edition of the NBA 2K franchise?

NBA 2K20 released their first group of player ratings yesterday, and a handful of San Antonio Spurs were among the initial hoopers to have their ratings confirmed by the 2K Sports Gaming Company.

LaMarcus Aldridge, DeMar DeRozan, Dejounte Murray, Derrick White, and Jakob Poeltl were the select few from the Silver and Black to receive ratings on the upcoming edition of the popular gaming franchise. This is quite interesting, considering the quintet could very well be the starting lineup head coach Gregg Popovich trots out on opening night against the New York Knicks.

Aldridge and DeRozan graded out marginally lower from a year ago, Poeltl saw a one-point increase to his overall rating, and Murray returned at an identical number. Meanwhile, White enjoyed a massive nine-point increase to his team-worst 69 from NBA 2K19.

The rest of San Antonio’s ratings will have to wait until the official September 6th release date, but it already seems NBA 2K20 has the Spurs penciled in for another middle of the road finish before the season has even begun.

What do Spurs fans think about the newly released ratings? Do they mean nothing? Or are they any indication of the season to come?
