The Spanish midfielder will be eager to link-up with Immobile too, with the 30-year-old forward one of the hottest strikers in Europe this season.

Silva, meanwhile, is set to arrive at Lazio having enjoyed a successful time at City, winning 14 major trophies with the Premier League side including four top-flight titles.

He joined the blue half of Manchester in 2010 and has since made 435 appearances, scored 77 goals and registered 144 assists.

And while the Spaniard still managed to register double digit assists numbers in his final Premier League season, the 34-year-old has opted for a new challenge with the side who finished the 2019-20 Serie A season in fourth spot.
