LaMarcus Aldridge seems to have something in common with Zaza Pachulia

Is LMA being less responsible than he could be?

Spurs forward LaMarcus Aldridge is apparently turning into Zaza Pachulia, according to Reddit user GlassHalfFultz. Perhaps triggered by Lakers forward Brandon Ingram twisting his ankle after landing on Aldridge, GlassHalfFultz is trying to build a case that he is purposefully trying to injure opponents by sliding under them using clips from the last several seasons.

The clips do show Aldridge taking an extra step toward his opponent after the ball is released, but it’s relatively subtle, and three times over the course of three seasons makes it a little hard to justify calling him an intentionally dirty player. Pachulia has a sordid history laid out all over YouTube of purposefully trying to injure players, and in more ways than just sliding under them. There is no such compilation for Aldridge, who has never been known for his temper or pension to commit flagrant fouls.

What do you think, Spurs fans? Is Aldridge earning a “dirty player” moniker, or does he just need to be more careful when closing out? Feel free to discuss in the comments below.
