Jack Grealish, James Maddison and Ben Chilwell meet up with Stormzy in Dubai

A host of Premier League stars have been snapped with grime artist Stormzy as they enjoy their Premier League winter break.

Jack Grealish posed alongside the British musician in Dubai, with the Aston Villa captain having spent a period of his time away from the rigours of top flight football in the United Arab Emirates.

And England internationals James Maddison and Ben Chilwell also took a photo with Stormzy, with Leicester’s high-flying stars handed the fortnight to ‘recover mentally’ by boss Brendan Rodgers.

Stormzy, who has been awarded a string of accolades including MOBO and Brit Awards, had powered through a critically acclaimed set in Dubai as part of his latest world tour on Friday.

And after taking to the stage, the 26-year-old Londoner was also greeted by Tottenham youngster Ryan Sessegnon and Chelsea frontman Tammy Abraham.

Jose Mourinho admitted that he was unsure about the purpose of the break, but has allowed his players ‘some days off’.

Sessegnon, signed from Fulham, opted to join friends Abraham and Marcus Rashford in Dubai.

Abraham, who has been Frank Lampard’s first-choice striker at Stamford Bridge this season, embarked on a mini-break to the popular tourist hotspot.

The Champions League chasers will have had 16 days away from Premier League action altogether, with the Blues next in action against Manchester United in a crucial showdown in the capital.

Top flight managers and players have often lamented their workloads over the festive period, and after a consultation between the Premier League, the Football Association and the Football League in June 2018, clubs will be handed one weekend off this month.
