‘I Am On My Knees’ ‘Honestly Can’t Wait’ City Fans On Social Media Excited As Pep Hints At Star’s Comeback

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has suggested that Leroy Sane would have been ready to feature against Arsenal in the re-arranged Premier League fixture.

The German international has not played since the Community Shield back in August due to a serious knee injury but Guardiola has confirmed that the 24-year-old has been fully fit for a while, and he is just waiting for the right time to put him back into the team:

“He [Sane] is getting better week by week. I am excited to have him back. He is not injured, he is training. He can play, the issue is the lack of rhythm, the tempo. He was ready weeks ago.”

Fans on Twitter are hoping Sane returns to action very soon:

As some supporters suggest, the only way Sane can get rhythm is by playing matches, whether off the bench or as a starter. With a big match against Real Madrid coming up, he could get some minutes against Burnley this weekend to build up his fitness.

Considering the poor form of Raheem Sterling recently, having someone like Sane to come in and make an impact would be a big boost. Whether Guardiola will make the call, we shall have to wait and see.
