Hot, dry weather expected for San Antonio over Fourth of July weekend

The Fourth of July weekend in San Antonio is going to be hot and as temperatures could reach up to 100 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday and Saturday are expected to stay around 98 and 99 degrees, while Sunday will likely top 100.

A high pressure ridge forming over Texas will also drive out any chance of rain this weekend, NWS said.

There is a bit of good news. Humidity will be low and will keep the heat index similar to the actual temperature.

The temperature will not be hot enough to issue a heat advisory, but NWS says residents should take precautions like taking breaks if outside for an extended period of time, staying hydrated and never leaving a child or pet alone in a vehicle.
