Gregg Popovich is at Eurobasket doing what he does

Pop seems to be enjoying himself in Europe this summer

This has been some summer. Last month saw Kawhi Leonard smiling in China. Today we find Gregg Popovich grinning in Europe. I guess this is what Pop looks like in a low-stress environment now:

(function(d, s, id) {
var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];
if (d.getElementById(id)) return;
js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id;
js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.10”;
fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);
}(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));

It’s difficult to define any time on the hardwood as vacation, but the most revered coach in all of basketball was full of praise for the FIBA Eurobasketball 2017 games that began on August 31st and run through the 17th of September in Finland, Israel, Romania, and Turkey. He commented on how well-run the games games are, the quality of the competition, and the fandom.

But we also know that Pop isn’t just there for enjoyment. He’s watching the players who have yet to make an name for themselves in the NBA. Because of his ability to identify and coach talented unknown players with potential toward greatness.

Pop is no fool, he knows the league watches his every move in hopes of imitating the success of the Spurs. “The pendulum keeps swinging back and forth. Maybe it’s time to think of something new.”

What new and exciting twist on basketball does Pop have in store? That is for Pop to know and for us to find out. One thing is for sure, it will be worth the wait.
