McNeil was a key player for Burnley this season as he started every one of their Premier League games, while he scored two goals and provided six assists.

A skilful player who is difficult to defend against, the England Under-21 international looks to have a bright future ahead of him.

Burnley will be reluctant to let McNeil, whose current contract runs until 2023, leave the club but may be tempted if a significant offer is made.

Pirlo is eager to bring in reinforcements at Juventus, and at the age of 20 McNeil has time on his side to improve even further.

The chance to play in the Champions League could be appealing to McNeil, whose only experience of European football was in the Europa League qualifiers with Burnley.

Previously at Manchester United’s academy, McNeil joined Burnley in 2014 and made his first-team breakthrough in 2018.
