Spurs Fan Cave - It's ALL about the FANS!
The first positive sign on the Spurs’ guard’s road to recovery
It was hard to watch. Dejounte Murray was bolting to the basket and went down under the rim in a preseason game against the Houston Rockets. The arena went silent as fans attempted to understand just what had happened. There seemed to be no contact. Had he twisted his ankle?
He got up up his own freewill after a wheel chair had been brought to him. Murray painfully paced the floor toward center court as a collective sigh of relief filled the air. Then he turned, walked off court, and did not return to the game.
The news was worse than a sprain though. Murray had, in fact, torn his ACL in his right knee. It seemed that the Spurs had lost their starting point guard for the season and questions loomed as to not only how long he would be out, but how well he would recover.
Twelve days have passed and now fans are hearing the first in what hopes to be a series of good news over a long recovery for the NBA All-Defensive 2nd team honoree.

The road to recovery may be long, but Spurs fans live by faith and time. We waited this long for a player like Murray to come into the fold. Patience is on the calendar until he is well enough to return to his team.
Here’s sending our best wishes to Dejounte for health and happiness as he recuperates. Take all the time you need, young man, we believe in you.
