Argentinian Wonderkid, Likened To Angel Di Maria, Reveals Ambition To Play For City

Banfield winger Agustin Urzi has revealed that he would like to make the move to England and play for Manchester City if the opportunity arises.

The Citizens, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan have all been mentioned as possible destinations for the 20-year-old over the past eighteen months, and asked about his future, the Argentine said he’d be keen on either the Premier League or MLS:

“I really like English football, but in the United States, they’re now creating a very competitive league and I think it’s very close to my style of playing. We’ll see in the future. I appreciate Manchester City both for the style of football they’ve adopted and for their footballers.”

Urzi currently has a €30m (£27m) release clause, although Banfield are likely to settle for a lot less considering the current financial climate.

The forward’s agent Maximiliano Gallo has likened him to Angel Di Maria, and says “various clubs” including Inter have enquired about him:

“Agustin is fast and technical and I would say that he is similar to Angel Di Maria. I have been told that (Inter vice-president Javier) Zanetti has enquired about him. Does it make him happy? Of course, any interest from a global giant such as Inter can only make us proud.”

Considering Urzi is left-footed and prefers to play as a conventional winger, there is a possibility that City could consider him as a potential replacement for Leroy Sane who looks destined to leave for Bayern Munich at the end of the season.
