A Spurs fan’s courtside experience before the game

It was great to get so close to the team while they prepped for the game the last home game before the Rodeo Road Trip.

What an unfortunate way to end the home stand. For a while, the Spurs couldn’t get over the 6 point deficit. Each time, the Jazz answered. That seems to be a theme in some of these losses- an inability to close the gap. And then Patty Mills, who hadn’t even taken a shot, tosses in a couple of quick threes, and all of a sudden the good guys were within one. But the fact remains that Ricky Rubio established himself so early on that his drive had to be honored. And then, all he had to do was kick it to the corners, where they seemed to be unable to miss.

The spotlight of tonight’s ticket package was the Courtside Experience, which tonight featured Joffrey Lauvergne warming up his hook shot:

Danny Green got a great ovation as he entered. Considering he had the hot hand against the Rockets, his welcome was well deserved:

Parker got sidetracked on the way to the court talking with Rudy Gobert, but then set up with shot guru Chip Engelland:

But the crowd favorite was of course Manu Ginobili who had his own fan club filling rows court side and chanting to the Argentinian. He had Spurs assistant coach Ettore Messina dishing him the ball:

The Courtside Experience highlights the adventure of attending a game at the AT&T Center. Considering this was the last time to see the Silver & Black at home until the last day of the month, it was a great night- win or lose.
