72-year-old man hospitalized after stabbing on the Southeast Side

A 72-year-old man was hospitalized after getting stabbed in the abdomen on the Southeast Side, according to police.

Officers responded to the area of 100 Menlo Boulevard around 11:00 p.m. late Saturday night where they found a man in the street with stab wounds.

Police say that someone approached the man and stabbed him in the abdomen.

Police detained two people for questioning and no charges have been made.

The man was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
