14 more H-E-B San Antonio employees test positive for coronavirus since Thursday

Since Thursday, 14 more San Antonio H-E-B employees have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to the grocery chain’s website.

So far this week, 30 employees at San Antonio stores have tested positive for COVID-19 – three Monday, eight Tuesday and five Wednesday, 11 Thursday and three Friday. In June, more than 80 H-E-B employees working at grocery stores in San Antonio have been infected with COVID-19.

Since March, the grocery store chain has regularly announced on its website when one of its employees test positive and has done so because it believes “transparency is important,” according to an email response to mySA.com. H-E-B does not reveal the employee’s identity and only lets the public know at what stores there was a positive case. Walmart and Target have both told mySA.com it will not release that information to the public.

Here are five H-E-B stores with COVID-19 cases that were since Thursday:

– El Mercado H-E-B: The employee who tested positive for COVID-19 was last working in the store on 2130 Culebra Rd. on Sunday, June 21.

– Marketplace H-E-B: The employee who tested positive for COVID-19 was last working in the store on 5601 Bandera Rd. on Tuesday, June 23.

– Nogalitos H-E-B: The employee who tested positive for COVID-19 was last working in the store on 1601 Nogalitos St. on Wednesday, June 24.

– Oak Park H-E-B: The employee who tested positive for COVID-19 was last working in the store on 1955 Nacogdoches Rd. on Wednesday, June 24.

– Austin Highway H-E-B: The employee who tested positive for COVID-19 was last working in the store on 1520 Austin Hwy on Monday, June 22.

– McCreless Market H-E-B plus!: The employee who tested positive for COVID-19 was last working in the store on 4100 South New Braunfels Ave. on Sunday, June 21.

– Zarzamora and Military H-E-B plus!: The employee who tested positive for COVID-19 was last working in the store on 6818 S. Zarzamora St. on Sunday, June 21.

– Marbach and 410 H-E-B plus!: The employee who tested positive for COVID-19 was last working in the store on 8219 Marbach on Tuesday, June 16.

– Valley Hi H-E-B: The employee who tested positive for COVID-19 was last working in the store on 302 Valley Hi Dr. on Sunday, June 21.

– Loop 1604 and Blanco Rd. H-E-B plus!: The employee who tested positive for COVID-19 was last working in the store on 1150 NW Loop 1604 on Monday, June 22.

– Bulverde and 1604 H-E-B: The employee who tested positive for COVID-19 was last working in the store on 17238 Bulverde Rd. on Thursday, June 18.

– Alamo Ranch H-E-B: The employee who tested positive for COVID-19 was last working in the store on 12125 Alamo Ranch Pkwy on Tuesday, June 16.

– 281 and Evans Road H-E-B plus!: The employee who tested positive for COVID-19 was last working in the store on 20935 U.S. Highway 281 North on Tuesday, June 23.

– Leon Springs H-E-B: The employee who tested positive for COVID-19 was last working in the store on 24165 I-10 West, Suite 300 on Friday, June 19.

It is unclear when the employees tested positive.
